Our board consists of passionate individuals from the CYFAIR community with with a wide range of knowledge & experience in the service industry.

Elizabeth Hilbun

Executive Director & Chairman

Elizabeth S. Hilbun has been serving the Houston and Cypress community since 1991. Elizabeth is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and an Accredited Attorney with the Department of Veterans Affairs. She represents clients with Veterans benefits, estate planning, probate, powers of attorney, asset protection, special needs planning and guardianships. She also offers guidance with Medicaid and long-term care planning.

Fran VonBerg

Secretary

Fran VonBerg is an attorney with 35 years of experience assisting clients achieve their business objectives. Through her practice, she has become familiar with the many, varied issues affecting the success of for-profit enterprises. Fran is delighted to bring her experience in the business world to the non-profit concern of Living Legacy Center and its clients.

Chuck Ransleben

Treasurer

Chuck Ransleben has been working with individuals and small businesses since the beginning of his professional career in taxation in January 1990. He has started his own public accounting practice to allow him the opportunity to enhance his relationships with his current clients and work with new customers that need assistance with tax planning and compliance.

Curtis Lamontangue

Board Member

Curtis Lamontague is the owner of Royal Homes Complete spectrum remodeling. He has been the past president of the Cypress-Fairbanks Rotary Club and is a local sports official for baseball, softball, basketball and volleyball. He enjoys spending time serving the community, hunting, fishing, hiking, and playing golf.

Kevin Matthews

Board Member

Keven Matthews is a native of Honolulu, Hawaii and the owner of Precision Leadership Strategies LLC. He is a thirty year veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Keven attained the rank of Colonel, and is an operations and strategy professional. Keven has commanded Marines from the infantry platoon to the Colonel level of command in both peace and in war. He served as a military attache to the American Embassy in Singapore and led the largest forward posture of Marine Corps forces in Australia. As a veteran of Operations Southern Watch and Iraqi Freedom, and the United Nations Mission in East Timor, he served in numerous capacities to include commander, operations director, combat advisor and project manager. Keven also serves on the leadership committees of the Cypress-Fairbanks Rotary Club and the Houston Veterans Chamber of Commerce.

Bernard Dy

Board Member

Barnard (Bernie) Dy has volunteered with the Living Legacy Center since its inception, sometimes working in the garden, helping with the market, or assisting with special events. He joined the board of directors in 2020, where we vote on initiatives and initiatives for the future of the organization. By day he works in the IT industry and is currently working as a contractor for oil and gas firms. He has been a Houston resident since 1993 and counts reading, writing, history, football, and computer gaming among his interests.

Nashley Banister

Board Member

Nashley has a varied background ranging from the performing arts, wellness, nutrition and event planning. Nashley has a Masters of chemistry from Texas Woman's University and is passionate about supporting innovative and meaningful work. Creativity, strategic thinking and hard work are a few of the attributes that she is most proud of. She has most recently moved from Cypress, TX where she volunteered with Urban Harvest, and then the Oasis Gardens of The Living Legacy Center and dove in wherever she could. Giving back to the community blessed Nashley, and she is privileged to serve on the board at LLC. She is in Boulder, CO now living life in the rhythms of Great Mother Nature.

Mike Clements

Board Member

Mike Clements is the assistant chief of administration with the Cy-Fair Fire Department in Houston, Texas. Mike is a 19-year veteran of Cy-Fair. He also works as a battalion chief in the College Station Fire Department, College Station, Texas. He is a senior certified professional with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP) and specializes in human resources, relationship management, labor/management relations, and grant writing. Mike has a master’s degree in public administration from Stephen F. Austin State University and an undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University.

Stephen Green

Board Member

Stephen is a home-grown Houstonian, born and raised. After graduating high school, he became the first in his family to attend college. Stephen graduated from The University of North Texas in Denton. After leaving UNT, he returned to Houston to further his education in the law. Stephen then attended South Texas College of Law, where he achieved his Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 2011. Stephen later passed the bar and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas the same year. Stephen has a passion for helping people and enjoys working with the elderly and special needs communities. His legal practice areas include estate planning, probate, guardianship, and business law. In 2022 Stephen transitioned out of his solo practice and joined the law firm Tyler and Maderer as an associate attorney. He enjoys volunteering in his local community. Stephen is also a member of the Houston Hispanic Bar Association and The Greater Houston LULAC Council. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and learning Spanish with his son.
